COVID-19 – We are still open for treatments

Here at Back on Track Healthcare we are all hoping that you are managing ok throughout this difficult period of lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As you may be aware, osteopaths are allowed to treat all patients, as long as there are no signs or symptoms of coronavirus.

We have had a busy transition at the clinic and have introduced many measures to ensure the safety of our staff and patients, including a pre-appointment triage questionnaire, safety screens, clean air filters, altered appointment timings and a full regime of cleaning and sanitising surfaces between patients.

We are thrilled to announce that Kieran, Emily and Carlo are all back practising and we can currently offer appointments at our clinics in Wimbledon and Cobham. For those that need out of hours slots, Carlo will be offering late appointments on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons/ evenings in Wimbledon. Please call to be put onto our waiting list if you would like an appointment- 020 8545 0965.

We look forward to hearing from those of you that need appointments- be it for a new niggle, or for that MOT that you have been putting off until it was safer to venture out.

You can book appointments by calling our usual reception number – 020 8545 0965, or can book online by visiting:

Please bear with us if it takes us longer than usual to get back to your phone or e-mail messages as we are still operating with reduced staff, but rest assured that we will do our best to get back to you as soon as we can. The reception phones will be monitored between 9am-1pm on weekdays for the time being.

Given the current situation wth Covid-19, we are still offering video consultations for vulnerable and shielding cases as well as face to face appointments for those preferring hands-on treatment. If you are wondering which service is most appropriate for you, then please call us on 020 8545 0965 and we can guide you appropriately.

Supplementary Covid-19 Information

Please be reassured that now we are back up and running:

-We are cleaning thoroughly between appointments.

-Appointments are booked at least 45 minutes apart to minimise interaction, to allow airborne droplets to fall, to allow aeration of the premises, and to allow time for extra cleaning measures.

-We have removed couch linen, pillow cases and towels.

-We are taking our own temperatures on a daily basis.

-We will be wearing full PPE in accordance with PHE guidelines.

-Patients will be asked to sanitise their hands on arrival, to have their temperature checked on arrival, and to bring a barrier face mask to wear whilst at the clinic.

-You are also asked to not bring anything with you that you don’t need – just yourself and means of payment (preferably a contactless smartphone app).  Coats, wallets, handbags etc. are potential surfaces to spread the virus and difficult to decontaminate.

-If you travel to the appointment with other family members, we ask that they please wait outside the clinic or in your car whilst you are being treated, to minimise numbers within the clinic.

-Before we will see anyone in person, we will conduct a remote Covid questionnaire:

1. In the past seven days, if you have had a temperature above 37.8 degrees Celsius

2. Or have noticed a new persistent cough

3. Or have experienced a loss of/change in sense of smell or taste

4. Or if you have been around someone with the symptoms or who is being tested for Covid-19

– If any of the answers to the screening questions above are yes, please do not enter the clinic. We kindly ask if you to reschedule your appointment in advance by calling the practice on 020 8545 0965.

Whilst we are taking all practical measures possible with regards hygiene and will be wearing a mask, gloves and apron whilst working to avoid contamination as far as we can, patients must accept that they are attending at their own risk.

This guidance is correct at the time of publishing. However, it is subject to regular update as we closely monitor the information and guidance available provided by Public Health England.

Thank-you so much for your cooperation during these unprecedented times.
